Map — "What was done?"¶
Mindset: Experienced newcomer. You arrived after someone else's work. Understand before you judge. No opinions yet — only comprehension. Test: "Can I explain what was done to someone who hasn't read the RF?" RF: RF-TFW-43 TS: TS-TFW-43 Mode: docs
Understanding¶
The executor added cognitive Mindset blocks (Strategist/Explorer/Analyst/Critic) with existential Test questions to all 4 research stage templates (1_briefing.md..4_challenge.md), added a guiding question to the Briefing h1, and restructured base.md to use copy-on-enter (one template copied per stage as it begins) with 🛑 STOP gates between stages. This restores D31 (file existence = stage completion) that was broken by TFW-42's batch-copy approach. Two adapters were byte-synced and version bumped to 0.8.7.
Key decisions: (1) used full template rewrites instead of in-place edits for cleaner Mindset insertion, (2) Step 5 uses numbered sub-steps inside a FOR EACH block for agent compliance (KC5), (3) Step 4 copy instruction uses explicit "Copy" verb instead of implicit "using."
TS ↔ RF Alignment¶
| TS requirement | RF claim | Aligned? |
|---|---|---|
| AC-1: Mindset blocks in 4 templates (exact wording) | RF §3: [x] — exact wording from TS §4 verified |

| AC-2: Step 3 folder only, no template copy | RF §3: [x] — batch copy line removed |
✅ |
| AC-3: Step 4 copy-on-enter for briefing | RF §3: [x] — explicit copy instruction added |
✅ |
| AC-4: Step 5 per-stage FOR EACH with copy+mindset+OODA | RF §3: [x] — restructured |

Deviations from TS¶
- File count: TS listed 10 files (§2), RF modified exactly 10 files (8 modified + 2 new: ONB and RF). No scope deviation — ONB and RF are standard artifacts, not counted against scope budget.
- No other deviations observed. No work outside TS scope.
Checkpoint¶
Self-check: - [x] Read RF §1-§5 completely? - [x] Read TS DoD and matched each item to RF §3? - [x] Read HL §7 Principles — can I state the design philosophy? - [x] Read ONB — were blocking questions resolved?
